I know all about this "When I don't write first" bizness. Yes, ma'am. Funny thing is, you'd think that since we KNOW what's keeping us from writing more, we'd just put the writing first and be done with it.

I read that and went yes with me it is crawl out of bed get the monster and diet coke-my type of coffee-scroll through emails. Chat with my 76 year old aunt in im and piddle until tiem to shower and get ready for work. I work full time 40 or more hours a week in a convenience store aka gas station. I too am in Texas and how did our ancestors survive without central a/c? I had plans to write after work last night. It never ahppened got distracted by another friend chatting and boom it was almost 3 am. Well truthfully it was almost midnight when I got in from work lol. I guess we allhave our reasons to put off the writing lol. I think of allI could write when at work, no time there maybe scribble a note about an idea that is it. I’m in East Texas here, sometimes it feels like the backwoods of nowhere. Kathy

Ah, Gail, I too am re-learning the lesson of Write First. I want to be able to do other things–go exercise, particularly–first, but writing first makes such a difference.

And so now I’m going to turn off my internet connection, and Write.

(Dolly’s a cutie, though!)
